What I learned organizing Drupal events, from DrupalCon Szeged 2008 to Drupal Europe 2018, and how I help shape DrupalCons today.

I am on the DrupalCon Europe and DrupalCon Global advisory committees, I organize and MC the lightning talks of the coolest Drupal product updates at DrupalCons and give my own talks too, and I lead the application and selection process for Drupal Developer Days every year. Before that I co-led DrupalCon Szeged 2008, Drupal Developer Days 2014 and Drupal Europe 2018, and earlier Web Konferencia and PHP Konferencia in Hungary.

Reports

I find it important to share our know-how, so more events can learn from our findings and our mistakes. Both reports were written for future event organizers, about what worked and what we would do differently. They are not brand new, but they are still valuable to this day: we keep going back to parts of them when explaining event best practices.
